Goaltenders
U11-U15 goaltenders will attend Goaltender Evaluations and Skills Session 2. Division Coordinators will be in contact assigning goaltenders to a grouping for Skills Session 2 if necessary. Goaltenders will not attend Skills Session 1.
The Evaluation Process
When arriving at the rink for your player/goaltender's session please check in at the table in the lobby. Volunteers working with the Tryout Committee will greet you and your player/goaltender. Players/goaltenders will receive a numbered pinny to wear throughout the evaluations. Players and goaltenders should bring all their gear, including hockey sticks, to the evaluations.
Note: following each session, you may be asked to return your players assigned pinny. It will be the same check-in process at each session.
Guidelines
Please ensure there are no names, numbers or any other identifiers from previous hockey team affiliations on jerseys or helmets. These must be removed prior to evaluations. Socks from non-SSMHA teams (AHG, summer tournaments etc.) should not be worn. Solid colour jerseys are recommended.
Please do not communicate with the players while they are on the ice surface during evaluations.
Pictures and videos are NOT to be taken during the evaluations. If you are seen doing so, you could be asked to leave.
Please do not communicate with the evaluators at any point - even after the evaluations.
It is recommended to arrive 30 to 40 minutes prior to your players session to ensure they are checked in and ready in time.
